Bio:   

Daniel Barcelona Pons is an Assistant Professor (Professor lector) at the Department of Computer Engineering and Mathematics, Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV). He obtained his PhD in Computer Engineering and Mathematics of Security from URV in 2022 and did a postdoctoral stay at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. His research interests are in cloud computing, parallel and distributed computing, software architectures, middleware and large-scale applications, including (big) data analytics and AI. He has published articles in important venues such as ACM/IFIP Middleware, ACM SIGMOD, and USENIX ATC.
