Carlos Molina is an Associate Professor of Computer Architecture at the Rovira i Virgili University in Tarragona, Spain. He earned his M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 1996. He subsequently completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Computer Architecture Department of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2005. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in over 20 national and international projects, successfully supervised three doctoral theses and authored more than 50 articles published in prestigious conferences and journals. His research spans various domains, including optimizing repetitive computations and values in superscalar processors, non-uniform cache architectures for chip multiprocessors, prefetching in multicore systems, wireless sensor networks, prediction in mobile networks, cost-effective multicomputing for educational environments, LIDAR data and serverless computing, LoRa devices and the LoRaWan protocol, as well as scheduling in real-time multicore systems.
